Born on the World Cup, destined for your local trails. We poured World Championship-winning engineering into developing an all-new alloy for these Control wheels. To increase the new material's durability, we customized our shot peening process—where metal projectiles are shot at the alloy to increase its strength—meeting the precise demands of our XC riders. If that wasn't enough, to eliminate creaking and reduce weight, individually customized sleeves are chosen to bond every single rim. The result is a wildly over-engineered, trail-ripping, best-of-the-best, aluminum wheel; held to the same standards as our highest-end Control SL carbon components. Whether you are looking for a solid set of training wheels that will handle it all or a big upgrade from entry-level wheels, Roval Control Alloy is the go-to wheel. With creak-free hoop construction that's laced to high-performance and proven DT Swiss hubs, you can tap into a wheelset born from World Cup technology that's ready for all riders. - Rim: Control Alloy Asymmetric, 6013 Alloy Shot-Pened, 29", Disc Brake, Zero Bead Hook Design, Tubeless Compatible, Compatible with Tire Inserts - Rim Details: 19mm Depth, 31mm External Width, 27mm Internal Width - Hub: DT Swiss 350 Straight-pull 6-bolt, Star Ratchet 36t internals (10 degs), 110x15mm & 148x12mm, Sram XD Freehub (Convertible freehub ) - Bearing Type: DT Swiss Sealed Steel Cartridge Bearings - Spokes: Sapim D-Light Straightpull, Front: Two-cross (1:1) 28 count, R: 304mm, L: 304mm - Rear: Two-cross (1:1) 28 count, DS: 304mm NDS: 304mm - Nipple: Sapim Secure Lock Double Square Alloy Blk, 2.0 x 18mm, 16cNm - Tire Size: 1.9" - 2.6" - Max Pressure: 1.9"-2.3": 40psi, 2.35"-2.5": 35psi, 2.51" -2.6": 30psi - Weight: Wheelset 1,648g, Front 768g, Rear 880g (excluding 15g, tubeless rim tape, and tubeless valve) - Assembly Method: Hand-built - Extras: Roval Tubeless Rim Tape and Tubeless Valve, Spare Spoke & Nipple Kit, 19 and 31mm OD Endcaps, Lifetime Warranty System Weight Limit: 275lbs / 125kg

In the early design phases of our Traverse Fattie 29, we recognized that the number of aluminum wheels that had the prowess to both shred rowdy descents and to provide the efficiency required of our Northern California testing grounds' relentless climbs were far and few between. We also came to realize that trail riders expect certain features in a proper, send-it-ready wheelset. And for the price, we found that alloy hit many of these expectations, while also keeping enough jingle-jangle in your wallet for a post-ride beverage. Along with light overall weight, stiffness, and durability, another top priority for the Traverse was ease of use. First off, we got rid of the creaky straight-pull spokes and corrosion-prone alloy nipples. Next up, we landed on 28 J-bend spokes, for front and rear wheels, that are all the same length—making it easy to find replacements if needed. And finally, we engineered a new hub design, with a wider profile and higher flange to aid in overall stiffness. We took the traditional 19- to 23-millimeter standard and moved it out to what we found worked best in testing—a whopping 30mm “Fattie” width. A wide rim does a variety of things for ride performance—it better supports the tire for increased confidence and grip, it affords you the ability to run lower pressures, and it spreads impact out over a larger surface area to reduce the risk of damage. We also added our Zero Bead hook design to the mix, and this ultimately aids in preventing “burps” during hard cornering, while also making tubeless set up quick and easy. After developing what we found to be the perfect alloy trail wheels, we went farther down the perfection path, hand-lacing the rims to our own alloy hubs that allow for the same spoke length throughout the entire wheelset, via 28 DT Swiss Revolution J-Bend spokes and Pro Lock nipples. Inside our hubs, you'll find sealed cartridge bearings and DT Swiss 360 rear internals that'll keep you rolling smoothly for miles. We also wanted to ensure that each wheel was built correctly, so we built them by hand. Each wheelset comes packaged with a SRAM XD-driver and a tubeless valve stem in order to make tubeless set-up a touch easier. Please note that Shimano freehubs are sold separately.

Roubaix. Flanders. E3. These races test wheels to their absolute limit. The best solution came in the form of a tough, box-section aluminum rim, still raced by some teams today. We took inspiration from that shape, and engineered a gravel rim with the compliance you want over harsh surfaces, but the lateral stiffness to make every effort count. Gravel riding offers a bit of roll-your-own style, but these types of races and rides favor light weight over bump absorption, so most opt to leave the suspension at home. This is where the new Santa Cruz Reserve 22 wheels really shine.

The EWS is strict—break certain parts and you DNF. The rule’s meant to encourage sensible management of equipment, but it’s also tipped the balance in favor of toughness and reliability. Enter the Reserve 30. Its 30mm internal width supports a 2.3-2.5” tire and the thick rim beads stand up to the abuse of tough, rocky, steep tracks ridden at elite speed. While DH rims see greater single impacts, nothing beats the full weekend of regular abuse that an EWS race dishes out. To say nothing of the infamous 'Anti-Grip' and the rocks buried within the moondust in the Andes of Chile. This wheel is compatible with Ebikes.

The relatively young Reserve crew began back in just 2014, however, with a team that tallies up decades of experience, it's unsurprising that what started as a mountain bike themed wheel-company has ascended to manufacture a full-range of sought-after dropbar bike wheelsets as well. And their 22 DT Swiss Wheelset takes aim directly at the gravel scene with its shallow profile, tubeless design. Reserve took inspiration from the famed spring-classics that notoriously test every wheelset daring enough to roll over their heavily-cobbled farm roads. Reserves settled on the low-profile and tough box-design, which we see in the 22mm deep 22, which also happens to be 22mm internal. Tubeless-ready, it's recommended to hold tires ranging from 30-45mm in width to easily handle the spread of race-ready narrow cyclocross tread to the super-low psi, meaty gravel tires for your cross-state, three-day weekend adventure. Reserve laces the 22 with Sapim CX-Ray spokes to DT Swiss 350 hub, which offers durable and reliable rolling year-round.

Feel your bike come alive on the open road with the new Alpinist CLX II-the lightest, best-handling clincher wheels we have ever made. Hyper-responsive acceleration, magic in the corners, sublime over rough roads, all elevated with the performance of a tubeless system. There's no room for a single excess gram whether you're chasing summits or ride quality because perfection is only achieved when there is nothing left to take away. It takes more than a lightweight rim to deliver the incredible reactivity and handling of the tubeless Alpinist CLX II. The wheelset is designed as a system with our engineers controlling and testing every part of that system-hubs, rims, spokes, lacing-and developing it hand-in-hand with Specialized Tubeless tires. The result is a 1250-gram tubeless wheelset with otherworldly ride quality. Performance Upgrade Made Easy The C38 brings carbon fiber high performance to the real world. It's a versatile all-rounder equally at home crushing gravel washboards and summiting alpine passes. Optimized for use with modern wide tires, providing the right amount of sidewall support to facilitate surefooted handling in all conditions, the C38 wheelset is a great handling, lively climbing, robust all-road performer that also aerodynamically outperforms many deeper, aero-specific rims that cost twice as much. Carbon wheels are a true performance upgrade to any bike, but too often the price tag puts them out of reach. The Rapide C38 shatters that barrier and brings a class-leading Roval carbon rim and DT Swiss reliability together to provide riders with the best performance carbon wheel per dollar.

Taking the notion of combining flagship performance with workhorse dependability one step further, we're introducing the Terra C. This shares the same hub and spoke architecture as the Terra CL, ensuring ease of service and spoke replacement, should the need arise and is paired with an entirely new rim layup. The rims on the Terra C share the same dimensions and broad range of tire mounting possibilities as the Terra CLX and CL—33mm deep with a 25mm internal width—but are crafted using a new-to-us process known as Resin Transfer Molding. This is an automated process that allows us to very precisely control how resin is introduced to the layup, which in turn ensures maximum strength and material performance. The end result is an incredibly tough set of wheels that you can beat on to hell and back. - Rim: Terra C RTM Carbon Clincher, 700c, Disc Brake, Tubeless Compatible - Rim Details: 32mm Depth, 30mm External Width, 25mm Internal Width; ERD 577mm - Hub: DT Swiss 370 J-bend Center Lock, Ratchet LN 18t internals (20 degs), 100x12mm & 142x12mm, Shim. Following directly in the tire tracks of the Terra CLX, the new Terra CL utilizes the same super-light, incredibly tough rim as our flagship wheel. It's a hook-bead, 33mm deep carbon fiber rim with a 25mm inner width that plays well with tubeless setup and allows you to mount tires anywhere from 28mm to 47mm wide at whatever pressure you feel like running. In a nod to accessibility, durability and real-world serviceability, we opted to use ultra-dependable DT Swiss 350 hubs and lace them to the rims with DT Swiss Competition Straightpull spokes. The net effect of these changes is a wheelset that is almost as light as our incredibly light Terra CLX, offering close to the same benchmark performance but with more easily sourced spokes in the event of some back-of-beyond carnage, all with a price tag that is about half that of our flagship product. - Rim: Terra CLX Carbon Clincher, 700c, Disc Brake, Tubeless Compatible - Rim Details: 32mm Depth, 30mm External Width, 25mm Internal Width; ERD 577mm - Hub: DT Swiss 350 Straight-pull Center Lock, Star Ratchet 36t internals (10 degs), 100x12mm & 142x12mm, Shim.
